The Missing Stones
Matthew 7:21-23
(21) Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(22) Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and
in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23) And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that
work iniquity.
Iniquity – anomia
– lawlessness,
being ruled by self-will rather than being ruled by the sovereign Will of God.
What Jesus is saying is “depart
from me, ye that are ruled by your own will.”
This same term is used to
describe the fall of Lucifer.
Ezekiel 28:13-15
(13) Thou hast been in Eden the
garden of God; every precious stone was
thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the
jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship
of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast
created.
(14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have
set thee so: thou wast upon the holy
mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of
fire.
(15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou
wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Exodus 28:16-20
(16) Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall
be the length thereof, and a span shall
be the breadth thereof.
(17) And thou shalt set in it
settings of stones, even four rows of
stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
(18) And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
(19) And the third row a ligure, an
agate, and an amethyst.
(20) And the fourth row a beryl,
and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

Hebrews 6:9
(9) But, beloved, we are persuaded
better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus
speak.
Romans 9:30-33
(30) What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which
followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is
of faith.
(31) But Israel, which followed
after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
(32) Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by
the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
(33) As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a
stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be
ashamed
